From compliance to culture: what 'well-led' really means for nursing teams

30 Apr 2026
The Outstanding Society Learning Lounge
Workforce, Leadership & Development

This panel explores the shift from regulatory compliance to truly embedded leadership culture within nursing teams.  Moving beyond checklists and inspection frameworks, what does it mean to be genuinely well-led in today's complex care landscape?
Bringing together perspectives from policy, regulation, frontline leadership and workforce development, the discussion will examine how organisations can create environments where nurses feel supported, empowered and able to deliver outstanding care.  Panelists will share practical insights on leadership behaviours, accountability, and how culture -  not just compliance - drives sustainable quality and improved outcomes.
