A north star for digital social care: from paper to digital to interoperable care
Digital transformation in social care has made strong progress, particularly through the widespread adoption of Digital Social Care Records. However, the real opportunity now lies in connecting data across systems to improve outcomes for those receiving care.
In this session, Alex Potter, Director of CASPA, will outline the sector’s journey from paper to digital—and now towards true interoperability. CASPA represents the UK’s leading care software providers, working closely with government and NHS England to shape the standards that underpin safe, effective digital care.
The session will touch on how a trusted digital foundation has been established across the sector, giving providers confidence in the systems they use today.
Looking ahead, Alex will introduce the Social Care Interoperability Platform (SCIP) and its potential to enable seamless data sharing across health and social care—supporting better decisions, reducing duplication, and delivering more coordinated, person-centred care.
