Care Home Open Week: 15th–21st June 2026

Care Home Open Week is back—and it’s bigger, bolder, and brighter than ever. Running from 15th to 21st June, this national initiative invites care homes across the UK to open their doors and welcome local communities inside.

And this year we are going World Cup crazy with brand new downloadable materials and Activity Packs created for us by NAPA!

Whether through open days, family events, intergenerational activities, creative workshops, or celebratory gatherings, the week provides a powerful opportunity to demonstrate the warmth, expertise, and community spirit at the heart of social care.

We will help homes highlight the incredible work their teams do every day. We’re excited to speak with delegates at the Care Show about how they can get involved, how to register, and how to make the most of our free toolkit of downloadable resources.

The Great British Care Cycle Relay: 11th–15th June 2026

Just days before Care Home Open Week begins, we will be hitting the road for the Great British Care Cycle Relay from 11th to 15th June. This unique, high‑energy event sees riders from across social care cycling between participating care homes: raising awareness, raising spirits, and raising funds to support our work.

The Relay brings together providers, suppliers, partners, and supporters in a visible celebration of health, teamwork, and sector pride. Daily start and finish events along the route offer brilliant local media opportunities, and we encourage organisations of all sizes to take part—whether by entering a team, hosting a stage, or cheering cyclists along the way.

Care Sector’s Got Talent: Applications Open 1st May

A new look Care Sector’s Got Talent is coming soon too! Our fantastic national talent showcase celebrates creativity and joy across the sector. Applications open on 1st May, with shortlisting in the summer and the Grand Final on 7th October in Birmingham.

From singers and dancers to musicians, magicians, artists, and performers of all kinds, we can’t wait to see the extraordinary talents our sector has to offer. It’s always a highlight of the year—not just for participants, but for audiences who are reminded of the passion and personality thriving within care teams and communities.
