Jackie Patman

Independent physio, ATACP
Jacqueline Pattman is a highly experienced and skilled physiotherapist specialising in aquatic physiotherapy. She has completed extensive postgraduate training and remains committed to continual professional development. With 34 years of clinical experience in the NHS and more than 30 years in private practice, she manages a broad and varied caseload across musculoskeletal, neurological and paediatric specialities. Jacqueline is an established Approved Aquatic Therapy Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (ATACP) Tutor, delivering postgraduate aquatic physiotherapy courses throughout the UK and internationally. A former Chair of the ATACP, she continues to support the organisation as a member of its committee and education subgroup. Jacqueline also works collaboratively with case managers, legal teams, and organisations across the education and charity sectors to research and present evidence demonstrating the benefits of aquatic physiotherapy. In addition, she works closely with architects and design teams to optimise therapy pool projects, ensuring they are fully fit for purpose. Her paper, “Effectiveness of Aquatic Physiotherapy in Clinical Practice,” published in the International Journal of Aquatic Research and Education, provides real world evidence supporting the positive outcomes associated with aquatic physiotherapy.
