Jo Wallace
Interim Deputy Director of Adult Social Care,
Care Quality Commission
My journey in social care began supporting adults with a learning disability in residential homes and supported living services. Over the past 21 years, I’ve dedicated my career to Adult Social Care regulation, starting as an inspector and now leading as Deputy Director of Adult Social Care in North London. In this role I am jointly leading CQC’s dementia strategy to drive up standards in dementia care.
I am deeply passionate about transforming lives through high-quality, compassionate care. My work is driven by an unwavering commitment to safeguarding people, promoting dignity, and raising standards across the sector. I believe collaboration is the key to meaningful change, and I’m continually inspired by the incredible individuals who deliver social care every day. Together, we can create a system that truly empowers and protects those who use it.
