Devonshires Solicitors LLP
Kathryn leads the specialist health & safety team at Devonshires. Kathryn has a specialist focus on crisis management and supporting clients in the immediate aftermath of a health & safety incident, including managing stakeholders and media involvement. Kathryn has particular expertise in assisting clients with investigations into the circumstances surrounding a fatal incident and liaising as required with the Coroner and any other regulatory bodies involved.
Kathryn has extensive experience advising clients on the coronial process following unexplained deaths. Most recently she has dealt with inquests following fatal fires and the death of a client’s tenant in his home following maintenance call outs. Kathryn can expertly navigate the interlinking civil, criminal and coronial processes, dealing with the difficult questions such as disclosure and how they impact on each separate process.
As well as dealing with the contentious elements of health & safety law, Kathryn also offers clients guidance regarding their health & safety risk profile, including interpretation of the law, understanding their legal duties, and applying their policies.
Kathryn regularly speaks at industry conferences, roundtables and events as well as providing bespoke training for clients. Kathryn has a wealth of contacts within the health & safety sector.
