Kevin Humphrys is CEO of Oakland Care Group, a family-owned provider running two care homes in West Sussex. Over the past few years, he has focused on practical AI adoption in social care – developing governance frameworks, training teams to use AI tools responsibly, and ensuring technology gives time back to frontline staff rather than adding to their burden. His approach has transformed administrative tasks that once took hours into work completed in minutes, while maintaining robust safeguards and GDPR compliance. Oakland Care Group is now co-developing new AI-enabled management tools with its technology partner, building on lessons learned from real-world implementation. Kevin speaks regularly on AI governance and innovation in care at national sector events. He is a Director of West Sussex Partners in Care and writes for sector publications including Care Talk and Care Home Professional.
