Ruth Mabika Jonson is the Co-Founder and Operations Director of S&P Care, an award-winning home care provider delivering community-based support across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. With over 30 years of experience across the NHS, social care, private and voluntary sectors, Ruth brings a unique system-wide perspective to care delivery, commissioning relationships, and service development. Under her leadership, S&P Care has grown into a respected provider known for high-quality care, strong workforce culture, and collaborative working with health and social care partners. Ruth has extensive experience working alongside local authorities, NHS teams, and Integrated Care Systems, supporting individuals with complex needs and enabling people to remain safely in their own homes. Her operational insight and frontline experience provide a practical provider perspective on the opportunities and challenges within commissioning and provider partnerships. In addition to her work as a care provider, Ruth is also the author of From Dream to Reality: A Guidebook for Launching Your Successful Care Business with Confidence and founder of the Care Business Hub, a platform supporting care leaders to grow sustainable and high-quality care organisations. Ruth is a passionate advocate for purpose-driven leadership, workforce development, and stronger collaboration between commissioners and providers to improve outcomes for people receiving care in their communities. In recognition of her contribution to the sector, she was awarded the Client Champion Award at the Black Women in Care (BWIC) Awards 2025, which celebrates the impact and leadership of Black women across health and social care.
